80: The Bad Plus
Outside of 1950/60s bop and some swing, I'm not a huge jazz fan. I don't listen to any "modern" jazz at all, but The Bad Plus is the one exception. While I don't like everything they've recorded, a lot just hits me right. The Bad Plus' originals are great, but they got more attention for their covers of rock songs. You have to admire a jazz trio for taking on Rush...
1. 1972 Bronze Medalist
2. Dirty Blonde
3. Anthem for the Earnest (live)
4. 1980 World Champion

59: Sklash
This episode features The Clash's reggae influences, including their covers of Junior Murvin's "Police & Thieves" and Coxsone Dodd's "Armagideon Time".
(And yes, I realize that The Clash was influenced by reggae and not specifically ska, but it made for a better title since 35% of all ska bands begin with "Sk-"...)

3. The Guns of Brixton
